Description

Africa is a highly decorative water base acrylic coating for stunning soft metallic effects for interior walls and environments. Casting light and space blend to add visual feel to its chromatic composition. With soft velvet-like texture Africa adds elegance and style to high end modern interior design.  Africa is in the same family as Dune with similar application. The main difference is that Africa is comprised with industrial iron pigments to achieve bold, rich, deeper and darker colors. Africa represents Novacolors “green” approach to the environment in reducing formaldehyde concentrations in the environme. It is flowable by nature and so can be rolled, troweled and brushed on the intended substrate. Highly versatile, Africa can be used as a stand alone coating or used complimentary with other mineral plasters and paints in the Novacolor product line.

Application:

1. Dilute 20% with water for increased volume and workability. For better concealing power over the  substrate it is recommended to use Novalux paint emulsion tinted to the color of the chosen Dune finish coat.
2. Apply 1st coat by roller (preferably sponge roller) so surface appearance is left flat without lines.
3. Apply 2nd coat with mohair roller with even coverage and uniform body of material. The evidence of roller marks on this step means there is enough workable material to move around wall.
4. After covering approximately 10 square feet use a trowel to move material with random circular motions or brush until you have achieved a desired style effect. NOTE: Wait 1-2 minutes before trying to work material to allow product to start absorbing into wall. Also, keep trowel clean to ensure product does not harden and scratch the wall surface area.

• Moisture permeable plasters
• Gypsum board
• Cement board
• Wood

Approximate coverage yields 80-107 square feet per liter based on a two coat application system.
