Era Veneziana

Description

Era Veneziana is a trowel on seasoned hydrated lime-based plaster made of natural organic grassello lime putties. Often recognized for having a highly reflective and polished finish it is recommended for the application of interior walls and properly prepared exterior surfaces. Selected inerts and rheological modifiers ensure high workability. Since it is of natural lime composition, the preferred substrate for Era Veneziana would also be other natural lime plasters. The product reacts chemically well with them building a strong body that will prove durable for longer periods of time. Applied in two to three coats depending on desired texture and level of reflectivity. Highly versatile in its application, Era Veneziana can be tight troweled for high a polish, skip troweled for more old world texture or applied for other creative effects. The applied use of Cera Wax protection can also add to more luster and translucent color shade variations.

Application:

1. Apply over Novacolor quartz primer that has been diluted 30%
2. Using a stainless steel Inox trowel, apply a consistent smooth amount of Era Veneziana to achieve a 1st coat that represents a flat paint finish with no trowel carbon burn marks. There should be no visible sheen.
3. Repeat for second coat.
4. Lightly sand high marks with 400 grit sand paper or higher to knock down any high textured area of plaster. REMOVE ANY DUST RESIDUE.
5. Apply a tightly troweled 3rd coat and burnish with a clean stainless steel energy/burnishing trowel.
6. Protect with Novacolor Cera Wax and buff.

• Lime & cement mortars
• Premixed renderings
• Moisture permeable plasters
• Gypsum board
• Cement board

Approximate coverage yields 12.5 square ft. per kilo based on a three coat application system.
